As well, this pattern is perfect for beginners as only basic stitches are used and is so quick and easy to make.

So, how are we going to make them? πŸŽƒπŸŽƒπŸŽƒ

Long story short: we are going to crochet flat rectangular piece and then magically stitch it together into a pumpkin. Afterwards, we are going to stuff our crochet pumpkin and attach the stem. Easy-peasy πŸ˜…

For this project I am going to use DK yarn and 2.5mm crochet hook, but any yarn and any hook size can be used. Just keep in mind, that depending on the size of yarn and hook, finished crochet pumpkin will vary in size.

Assembly:

Step 1: fold the short sides together, right sides facing out. Get the tapestry needle and using long tail (what we’ve left after finishing off ) and sew sides together.

Step 2: If you still have yarn left on the needle, sew a running stitch along the top edge. If you run out of tail yarn, just get more matching yarn.

Step 3: our next step is stuffing. Get some filling and stuff the pumpkinΒ through the bottom opening. Stuff as much as you would like.

Step 4: get tapestry needle with matching yarn and sew a running stitch along the bottom edge. Make a few knots and pass needle through to another side. Create some tension between top and bottom – that will give squished effect to our crochet pumpkin. Finally, weave the yarn and cut excess ends.

Step 5: using tapestry needle and tail from stem, attach pumpkin stem to the top of our pumpkin as shown below:
