We have finished our head and face features, as well we have finished our body. So it’s time now to work on our last part of our Peppa Pig crochet pattern – Part 3 – dress and body assembly 🙂
This is quite complicated project and that’s why I am going to divide it in 3 parts. Personally I think it will be much easier to read. Our Peppa Pig crochet pattern will be divided in these three parts:
- Part 1 – head and face features
- Part 2 – Peppa Pig body
- Part 3 – dress and body assembly

Peppa Pig Crochet Pattern – Part 3
- For this Peppa Pig project you will need:
- Yarn, approximately 150g in light pink (I used this pink shade from Amazon)
- Approximately 50g of red yarn for a dress (I used this red shade from Amazon)
- Some bright pink, white and black colour (5-10g)
- 2.5mm crochet hook
- Filling (fiberfill or polyfill)
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch marker
- Sewing pins
Abbreviations:
CH = chain
SC = single crochet
SL ST = slip stitch
DEC = decrease
INC = increase
HDC = half double crochet
(..) = repeat the instructions in brackets the given number of times
[..] = total number of stitches
Assembly of the body
- Sew the fingers to the arms at rounds 5-8. Try to get them at the same length on each arm.
- Sew the boots to the legs. Boots need to be attached to the narrow end of the leg.
- Sew the head to the body. When finishing off make sure there’s extra filling in the neck and head is not wobbly.
- Sew the legs to the bottom of the body. Approximately 6 stitches apart.
- Sew arms to each side of the body, approximately 2-3 rows below the head.
That’s how our Peppa Pig should look now:
Dress
Dress will be made from red yarn.
Starting with chain 31.
Row 1(starting from ch 2): sc in 30 st [30]
Row 2: Ch 1, (sc in next 4 st, inc) repeat 6 times [36]
Row 3: ch 1, sc in next 5 st, ch 8, skip 6 st, (sc in next 5 st, inc) repeat 2 times, sc in next 2 st, ch 8, skip 6 st, sc in next 5 st. That will be our arm opening for the dress. [41]
Row 4: ch 1, sc in next 4 st, inc, sc in next 8 st, inc, (sc in next 4 st, inc) repeat 3 times, sc in next 8 st, inc, sc in next 4 st [48]
Row 5: ch 1, (sc in in next 5 st, inc) repeat 8 times [56]
Row 6: ch 1, (sc in in next 6 st, inc) repeat 8 times [64]
Row 7: ch 1, (sc in in next 7 st, inc) repeat 8 times [72]
Row 8: ch 1, (sc in in next 8 st, inc) repeat 8 times [80]
Row 9-15(7 rounds): ch 1, sc in next 80 st [80]
Now we are going to join each dress end with sl st and going to crochet in rounds instead of rows.
Round 16-25(10 rounds): ch 2, hdc around, finish round with sl st.
That’s it, our dress for Peppa Pig is done 😊 It should look like this:
Now we are going to put the dress on our Peppa Pig and sew the back:
And that’s it, CONGRATULATIONS! Our crochet Peppa Pig is done! 🙂 Now I want to see your finished project in comments 🙂
