Mr and Mrs Mickey mouse crochet baubles – such an amazing Christmas tree decoration. Undoubtedly it will be decorating my Christmas tree this year! In addition, it will add some romantic touch to my relationship as it will symbolise me and my partner 😊
At first, we are going to make 2 baubles which are absolutely the same and are “gender neutral”. Afterwards, we are going to add some decorations which are going to make our baubles Mr and Mrs.
This pattern is made for 80mm baubles, therefore if you want to use different size baubles pattern must be adjusted.

Starting working with red yarn crochet in rounds which are not continuous. Make 2 baubles and we are going to decorate them later.
Round 1: make magic circle, ch 2 (counts as dc), (dc) repeat 8 times, finish round with sl st into second ch from beginning of our round [9]
Round 2: ch 2 (counts as dc), dc in the same st, (dc inc) repeat 8 times, finish round with sl st into second ch from beginning of our round [18]
Round 3: ch 2 (counts as dc), dc inc, (dc in next st, dc inc) repeat 8 times, finish round with sl st into second ch from beginning of our round [27]
Round 4: ch 2 (counts as dc), dc in next st, dc inc, (dc in next 2 st, dc inc) repeat 8 times, finish round with sl st into second ch from beginning of our round [36]
Round 5: ch 2 (counts as dc), dc in next 2 st, dc inc, (dc in next 3 st, dc inc) repeat 8 times, finish round with sl st into second ch from beginning of our round [45]
Round 6: ch 2 (counts as dc), dc in next 3 st, dc inc, (dc in next 4 st, dc inc) repeat 8 times, finish round with sl st into second ch from beginning of our round [54]
Round 7: ch 2 (counts as dc), dc in all 53 st, finish round with sl st into second ch from beginning of our round [54]
Round 8: crochet in BLO: ch 1, sc in all 53 st, finish round with sl st into second ch from beginning of our round [54]
After finishing round 8 change yarn to black colour.
Round 9-10: ch 2, dc in all 53 st, finish round with sl st into second ch from beginning of our round [54]
Round 11: ch 2 (counts as dc), dc in next 3 st, dc dec, (dc in next 4 st, dc dec) repeat 8 times, finish round with sl st into second ch from beginning of our round [45]
Before starting round 12 we need to insert our bauble and crochet with bauble inside otherwise we won’t fit it in later. As a result, you can see in the picture below how it meant to look after finishing round 11 with a bauble inside:
Round 12: ch 2 (counts as dc), dc in next 2 st, dc dec, (dc in next 3 st, dc dec) repeat 8 times, finish round with sl st into second ch from beginning of our round [36]
Round 13: ch 2 (counts as dc), dc in next st, dc dec, (dc in next 2 st, dc dec) repeat 8 times, finish round with sl st into second ch from beginning of our round [27]
Round 14: ch 2 (counts as dc), (dc dec, dc in next 1 st) repeat 9 times, dc dec, finish round with sl st into second ch from beginning of our round [18]
Round 15: ch 2, (dc dec) repeat 9 times, join [9]
Round 16: (sc in next st, dec) repeat 4 times, sc [5]
Finish off and hide the end. Have a look how my bauble looks at the end of round 16:
Ears
Make 2 ears for each bauble using black colour yarn.
Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Round 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
Round 3: (sc in next st, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
Round 4: (sc in next 2 st, inc) repeat 6 times [24]
Round 5: (sc in next 3 st, inc) repeat 6 times [30]
Round 6-10: sc in all 30 st [30]
Round 11: (sc in next 3 st, dec) repeat 6 times [24]
Round 12: (sc in next 2 st, dec) repeat 6 times [18]
Round 13: sc in all 18 st [18]
Now sl st both sides together and finish with sl st. After that, don’t forget to leave long tail for sewing. Finally, our ears must look like in the picture below:
Assembly
First step of our assembly will be attaching our ears to a bauble. Use tapestry needle to attach ears approximately 2 rows from the top. However, feel free to improvise with ears location.
Obviously, our Mr and Mrs Mickey Mouse crochet bauble now is “gender neutral” and we will need to add some additional decorations to make it Mr and Mrs.
Mr Mickey
For Mr Mickey use orange yarn and crochet 2 circles:
Round 1: 6 hdc in magic circle [6]
Finish off leaving tail for sewing. Afterwards attach orange circles between round 7 and 9, 5 stitches apart.
That’s it for Mr Mickey.
Mrs Mickey
For a skirt attach white yarn to round 9 front loops only and crochet around with this order – hdc, hdc inc. Finish off and hide the end.
Bow
To make a bow use red yarn.
Make ch 16 and join in the circle, afterwards crochet in rounds.
Round 1-15: sc in all 16 st [16]
Finish off and sl st both ends, hide the ends at the end.
For bow middle part ch 11, and sc two rows.
Finally assemble bow and attach to the top of Mrs Mickey head.
To sum up, it wasn’t very hard pattern but it looks amazing 🙂 You can embroider your names on baubles with white yarn to look it more personalized.
Are you going to share your result with me? 🙂
Cute! Thank you.
