Crochet snowman FREE pattern

FREE Crochet Snowman Pattern

Start your Christmas preparation now with this adorable crochet snowman. The snowman measures approx. 8 cm (3”) after finishing.

Although you could stuff the entire snowman with regular stuffing, as well you could stuff the bottom of it with Poly-Pellets so your snowman will easily stand upright. However, it’s your choice to use poly-pellets or not. In this instance I didn’t use them as I will use this snowman as part of my Christmas wreath.

Now fasten off and hide the end inside of the hat. After that sc bottom of the hat with white yarn.

And last part of our hat will be pom pom which we are going to make out of white yarn. Stuff slightly before finishing it off.

Round 2: (inc) repeat 5 times [10]

Round 5: (dec) repeat till there’s nothing to decrease. Finish off leaving tail for sewing and sew finished pom pom to top of our hat. After finishing our hat should look like this:

Scarf

Make scarf using red yarn. In round 1 make chain 40 and in the second round, starting from chain 2, sc till the end. That’s it, finish it off, hide the ends and scarf is ready to wear 🙂

Assembly

We will start assembling our crochet snowman from face features. Therefore, we will need black yarn for a smile and both hands, and a little bit of orange yarn for carrot nose.

Firstly, embroider your smile and hands, similarly to as shown in the picture. Unfortunately I cannot help you in this instance and you will have to use your imagination where to place a smile and hands 🙂 Secondly, use orange yarn to embroider your nose. I made a few knots on the orange yarn when embroidering, so nose is sticking out a bit and looks more like a carrot. Now grab 2 buttons and sew them to our snowman’s belly using black thread. As a result, our snowman should look like that:

Most importantly, don’t forget to attach our hat (I used some red yarn to sew it to the head, so it doesn’t fall off) and scarf.

And we’ve done it! Snowman is ready to go 🙂
