Adorable, bright, colourful, easy to make and absolutely free – meet my new design – crochet Spiderman Amigurumi doll. In this article we will make easy crochet Spiderman amigurumi doll and this pattern is free!
Also, instructions are easy to follow and a lot of pictures provided to help you.
If you are going to use DK yarn and 2.5mm crochet hook, finished size of your crochet Spiderman will be approximately 24cm or 9 inches.

Importantly, this pattern is written in US terminology.
Materials and tools you will need:
- Approximately 30g red DK yarn (get this red DK yarn from Amazon)
- Approximately 30g blue DK yarn (get this blue DK yarn from great yarn bundle on Amazon)
- Approximately 5g black yarn for eyes and embroidery (get this black DK yarn from Amazon)
- Approximately 5g white yarn for eyes (get this white DK yarn from Amazon)
- 2.5mm crochet hook (get these hooks from Amazon)
- Hobby scissors (get these scissors from Amazon)
- Toy filling (get this filling from Amazon)
- Tapestry needle (get these needles from Amazon)
- Stitch markers (get these stitch markers from Amazon)
- Sewing pins (get these pins from Amazon)

CH – chain
SC – single crochet
ST – stitch
SL ST – slip stitch
INC – increase
DEC – decrease
HDC – half double crochet

Crochet Spiderman body
We are going to make 2 legs starting with red DK yarn. Also, work in continuous circles and stuff as you go.
Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Round 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
Round 3: (sc in next st, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
Round 4: (sc in next 2 st, inc) repeat 6 times [24]
Round 5: (sc in next 3 st, inc) repeat 6 times [30]
Round 6-9 (4 rounds): sc in next 30 st [30]
Round 10: (sc in next 8 st, dec) repeat 3 times [27]
Round 11: (sc in next 7 st, dec) repeat 3 times [24]
As an example, below you can see leg after round 11:
From round 12 change yarn colour to blue.
Round 12-22 (11 rounds): sc in next 24 st [24]
Finally, finish off the first leg with sl st, but don’t finish off the second leg.
As an example, below you can see finished legs:
Next, at the end of second leg make ch 2 and attach it to another leg with sl st to the area where it is finished. Following that, your both legs are jointed together and should look like in the picture below:
Round 23: sc in next 24 st, 2 sc in ch of 2, sc in next 24 st, 2 sc in ch of 2 [52]
Round 24-27 (4 rounds): sc in each st [52]
Round 28: sc in next 13 st, (change yarn to red, but keep blue attached) sc in next 39 st using red yarn [52]
Round 29-31 (3 rounds): sc in each st with red yarn [52]
Furthermore, place 2 stitch markers as shows in the picture below. In addition to this, they need to be 14 stitches apart and centred.

Round 32: change yarn colour to blue: sc in next 20 st (or till your stitch marker!), change yarn colour to red (it’s still attached to our body after finishing round 29), sc in next 14 st (between stitch markers), eventually, change yarn colour to blue: sc in next 18 st [52]

Fasten off the yarn leaving long tail for sewing head on later. Pass the yarn end through the front loops of the rest 6 stitches with your hook or sewing needle and pull to close the hole.

We are going to make 2 arms starting with red DK yarn. Work in continuous circles and stuff only bottom of arms.
Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Round 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
Round 3: (sc in next st, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
Round 4: (sc in next 2 st, inc) repeat 6 times [24]
Round 5-8 (4 rounds): sc in next 24 st [24]
Arm after finishing round 8:
Change yarn to blue colour.
Round 9: (sc in next 4 st, dec) repeat 4 times [20]
Round 10-11 (2 rounds): sc in next 20 st [20]
Round 12: (sc in next 3 st, dec) repeat 4 times [16]
Round 13-15 (3 rounds): sc in next 16 st [16]
Round 16: (sc in next 6 st, dec) repeat 2 times [14]
Round 17-18 (2 rounds): sc in next 14 st [14]

Fold both sides together and slip stitch through. Finish off with slip stitch and leave long tail for sewing.

Crochet Spiderman eyes
Start crocheting with white yarn and make 2 eyes.
At the beginning of each row crochet one chain stitch and then turn the crochet eye.
Row 1: 3 sc into magic circle [3]
Row 2: turning ch 1, (inc) repeat 3 times [6]
Eye after finishing row 2:
Row 3: turning ch 1, (sc in next st, inc) repeat 3 times [9]
Eye after finishing row 3:
Row 4: turning ch 1, (sc in next 2 st, inc) repeat 3 times [12]
Additionally, we are going to crochet at the bottom of our circle (as shown in the picture below), follow the sequence of: Sc in next 2 st, hdc, dc, hdc, sc in next 2 st [7]
As an example, below you can see eye after finishing row 4:

In next step attach black yarn and single crochet around the eye, approximately 19 stitches (don’t worry if you will get a bit more or less).
Finally, finish off with slip stitch and leave long tail for sewing.

Assembly
Step 1: using tapestry needle attach head to the body. Stuff body a bit more before closing it off so it will help to avoid wobbly head.
Step 2: using tapestry needle and black yarn start embroidery of the spider on the chest:
Step 3: using tapestry needle and black yarn embroider red parts of the body with black web.

Step 4: using tapestry needle and black yarn attach eyes to the head. Use pins to estimate best location for eyes:
Step 5: Using tapestry needle attach arms to the body, approximately 2 rounds below the head.
