In this post we are going to make this adorable crochet rainbow heart keyring. This pattern is great for beginners and perfect project for yarn leftovers. As well you can make it in any colours you like 🙂

Materials and tools you will need:
- DK yarn – approximately 5g of each colour: red, pink, orange, yellow, green, light blue, blue and purple colours (look at these colours on Amazon ☺)
- 3.0mm crochet hook (look at this great set on Amazon)
- Tapestry needle (need some tapestry needles?)
- Hobby scissors (I like these scissors from Amazon)
- Toy filling (get some filling from Amazon)
- Keychain (you can get some from Amazon here)
Abbreviations:
THIS PATTERN IS WRITTEN IN US TERMINOLOGY
SC – single crochet
CH – chain
INC – single crochet increase
DEC – single crochet decrease
SL ST – slip stitch
(…) – repeat the space in brackets the given number of times
Crochet rainbow heart keyring
Make 2 hearts.
Using red yarn start with ch 17.
Round 1 (starting from ch 2):
2 sc in the next ch, sc in the next 6 ch, skip 2 ch, sc in the next 6 ch, 3 sc in the next ch.
Next stitches we will crochet on the next side of our chain: sc in the next 7 ch, ch 2, sc in next 8 st, sl st in the first stitch of the next round.
Our heart after finishing round 1:
Change yarn to pink colour.
Round 2:
Ch 1, 1 sc in the same st as ch, 3 sc in the next st, sc in the next 5 st, skip 2 st, sc in the next 5 st, 3 sc in the next st, sc in the next st, 3 sc in the next st, sc in the next 8 st, ch 2, sc in the next 8 st, 3 sc in the last st, sl st in the first stitch of the next round.
Our heart after finishing round 2:
Change yarn to orange colour.
Round 3:
Ch 1, 1 sc in the same st as ch, 3 sc in next st, sc in the next 6 st, skip 2 st, sc in the next 6 st, 3 sc in the next st, sc in the next st, 3 sc in the next st, sc in the next 11 st, ch 2, sc in the next 11 st, 3 sc in the last st, sl st in the first stitch of the next round.
Our heart after finishing round 3:
Change yarn to yellow colour.
Round 4:
Ch 1, 1 sc in the same st as sl st, 3 sc in the next st, sc in the next 7 st, skip 2 st, sc in the next 7 st, 3 sc in the next st, sc in the next st, 3 sc in the next st, sc in the next 14 st, ch 2, sc in the next 14 st, 3 sc in the last st, sl st in the first stitch of the next round.
Our heart after finishing round 4:
Change yarn colour to green.
Round 5:
Ch 1, 2 sc in the same st as sl st, 2 sc in the next st, sc in the next 8 st, skip 2 st, sc in the next 8 st, (2 sc in the same st) x repeat 3 times, sc in the next 17 st, ch 2, sc in the next 17 st, 2 sc in the last st, sl st in the first stitch of the next round.
Our heart after finishing round 5:
Change yarn colour to light blue.
Round 6:
Ch 1, 2 sc in the same st as sl st, sc in the next 10 st, skip 2 st, sc in the next 10 st, (2 sc in the same st) x repeat 2 times, sc in the next 19 st, ch 2, sc in the next 19 st, 2 sc in the last st, sl st in the first stitch of the next round.
Our heart after finishing round 6:
Change yarn to dark blue colour.
Round 7:
Ch 1, 1 sc in the same st as sl st, sc in the next 9 st, skip 2 st, sc in the next 33 st, ch 2, sc in the next 22 st, sl st in the first stitch of the next round.
Our heart after finishing round 7:
Change yarn to purple colour.
Round 8:
Ch 1, 2 sc in the same st as sl st, sc in the next 9 st, skip 2 st, sc in the next 9 st, (2 sc into next stitch) x repeat 2 times, sc in next 21 st, ch 2, sc in the next 21 st, 2 sc into next stitch, sl st in the first stitch of the next round.

Don’t forget, we have to make 2 hearts ☺:
Assembly
Firstly, put both hearts together (wrong side facing each other) and single crochet around with purple yarn as you still should have this yarn attached. Before closing it off stuff with toy filling as much as you want.
Also, at the end using tapestry needle and some purple yarn attach keychain.
Finally – our crochet rainbow heart keyring is complete 😍🌈
