We have finished our head and face features in Part 1 of Peppa Pig crochet pattern project and it’s time to work on our body 🙂
This is quite complicated project and that’s why I am going to divide it in 3 parts. Personally I think it will be much easier to read. Our Peppa Pig crochet pattern will be divided in these three parts:
- Part 1 – head and face features
- Part 2 – Peppa Pig body
- Part 3 – dress and body assembly

Peppa Pig Crochet Pattern
- For this Peppa Pig project you will need:
- Yarn, approximately 150g in light pink (I used this pink shade from Amazon)
- Approximately 50g of red yarn for a dress (I used this red shade from Amazon)
- Some bright pink, white and black colour (5-10g)
- 2.5mm crochet hook
- Filling (fiberfill or polyfill)
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch marker
- Sewing pins
Abbreviations:
CH = chain
SC = single crochet
SL ST = slip stitch
DEC = decrease
INC = increase
HDC = half double crochet
(..) = repeat the instructions in brackets the given number of times
[..] = total number of stitches
Body
Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Round 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
Round 3: (sc in next st, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
Round 4: (sc in next 2 st, inc) repeat 6 times [24]
Round 5: (sc in next 3 st, inc) repeat 6 times [30]
Round 6: (sc in next 4 st, inc) repeat 6 times [36]
Round 7: (sc in next 5 st, inc) repeat 6 times [42]
Round 8: (sc in next 6 st, inc) repeat 6 times [48]
Round 9: (sc in next 7 st, inc) repeat 6 times [54]
Round 10: (sc in next 8 st, inc) repeat 6 times [60]

Finish with sl st and leave long tail for sewing which we are going to use to attach the head to the body.
Arms
We are going to make 2 arms and 4 fingers.
Starting with arms – stuff as you go, but don’t stuff last 5 rows:
Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Round 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
Round 3-33(31 round): sc all around [12]
Finish with sl st and leave long tail for sewing.
Next step will be making our fingers. Make 4 of them:
Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Round 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
Round 3-6(4 rounds): sc all around [12]
Stuff firmly and finish with sl st. Leave long tail for sewing.
Boots
Make 2 boots. Work with black yarn and stuff slightly.
Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Round 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
Round 3: (sc in next 1 st, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
Round 4: (sc in next 2 st, inc) repeat 6 times [24]
Round 5-9: sc in all 24 st [24]
Round 10: (sc in next 6 st, dec) repeat 3 times [21]
Round 11: (sc in next 5 st, dec) repeat 3 times [18]
Round 12: sc in all 18 st [18]
Round 13: (sc in next 4 st, dec) repeat 3 times [15]
Round 14: sc in all 15 st [15]
Round 15: (sc in next 3 st, dec) repeat 3 times [12]
Round 16: sc in all 12 st [12]
Fasten off leaving small tail. Pass the yarn tai through the front loops of the rest 12 stitches with your hook or sewing needle and pull to close the hole. Weave in the end.
Legs
Make two legs and crochet with light pink yarn. Stuff as you go.
Round 1: 14 ch, join with sl st to form a circle
Round 2-27(26 rounds): sc in all 14 st [14]
Round 28: (sc in next 3 st, dec) repeat 2 times, 2 sc, dec [10]
Finish with sl st. Fasten off leaving a tail for sewing.
So our body and all body parts are finished now. Now we need to assemble our body and make dress for our crochet Peppa Pig. How to do that you are going to find out in Part 3.
