As I did crochet Peppa Pig before, I think it’s time for her little brother 😊 That’s why today I am going to share with you crochet George pig pattern.
This pattern will be made out of two posts, as I personally think it is a bit too much to fit in one post. In the first part we are going to work on the head and face features, and in the second part we will be working on the body and it’s assembly (you can find second part here).
Size of this finished crochet George pig from head to toes is approximately 23cm or 9 inches. Pattern is absolutely free and easy to follow.

Materials and tools you will need:
- DK yarn, approximately 50g in total: bright pink (I used this dark pink DK yarn from Amazon), light pink (I used this light pink yarn from Amazon), blue (this blue DK yarn from Amazon has been used), white (I used this white yarn from Amazon) and black colours (I used this black DK yarn from Amazon)
- 2.5mm crochet hook (look at these pretty hooks on Amazon 😊)
- Filling (fiberfill or polyfill)
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch markers
Head
Crochet in continuous rounds with light pink yarn and stuff as you go.
Rnd 1: 8 sc in magic ring [8]
Rnd 2: (inc) repeat 8 times [16]
Rnd 3: (sc in next st, inc) repeat 8 times [24]
Rnd 4: (sc in next 2 st, inc) repeat 8 times [32]
Rnd 5: (sc in next 3 st, inc) repeat 8 times [40]
Rnd 6: crochet in the back loops only: (sc in next 3 st, dec) repeat 8 times [32]
Rnd 7-14: sc in all 32 st [32]
Head after round 14:
Rnd 15: (sc in next st, inc) repeat 5 times, sc in next 12 st, (inc, sc in next st) repeat 5 times [42]
Rnd 16: (sc in next 2 st, inc) repeat 5 times, sc in next 13 st, (inc, sc in next 2 st) repeat 4 times, inc, sc in next st [52]

Fasten off leaving small tail. Pass the yarn through the front loops of the rest 6 stitches with your hook or sewing needle and pull to close the hole, don’t forget to stuff a bit more before closing. Weave the end.
Eyes
Make 2 whites with white yarn and 2 pupils with black yarn.
Whites
Use white yarn for whites.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Rnd 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
Finish with sl st. Fasten off leaving a tail for sewing.
Finished whites:
Pupils
Make 2 pupils using black yarn.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Finish with sl st. Fasten off leaving a tail for sewing.
Finished pupils:
Now take tapestry needle and sew pupils on the whites with black thread from pupils and embroider glint in the eyes with white yarn as shown in the picture below:
Blush
Make 2, crochet with bright pink yarn.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Rnd 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
Rnd 3: (sc in next st, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
Finish with sl st. Fasten off leaving a tail for sewing.

Nostrils
Make 2 nostrils, crochet with bright pink yarn.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]

Ears
Make 2 ears, crochet in continuous rounds with light pink yarn.
Rnd 1: 4 sc in magic ring [4]
Rnd 2: (inc) repeat 4 times [8]
Rnd 3: (sc in next st, inc) repeat 4 times [12]
Rnd 4-8: sc in all 12 st [12]
Finish with sl st. Fasten off leaving a tail for sewing.
Finished ears:
Assembly of crochet George pig head
First step: Sew the ears to the head at rounds 28-29 at the distance of 9 stitches in between them.
Second step: Sew on the nostrils at rounds 2-4.
Third step: Sew on the eyes at rounds 17-22 at the distance of 8 stitches in between them.
Fourth step: Sew on the circles of blush at rounds 19-25, a few stitches below the eyes.
Fifth step: Using tapestry needle and black or red thread embroider a smile at the bottom of our face.
