Round 1: 36 sc around plastic ring.
Crochet snowflake after finishing round 1:
Round 2: ch 2, dc into next 35 st.
Crochet snowflake after finishing round 2:
Round 3: Ch 2, dc into same st (do not complete this dc as we are working on a cluster stitch), dc into next st (pull yarn through all loops to complete a cluster stitch), ch 6, (dc into next 3 st – make them into cluster st, ch 6) repeat 11 times, finish round with sl st into middle of first cluster.
Cluster stitch example out of 3 dc:
Completed round 3:
Round 4 (this round starts in 6 ch space): (sc, 2 hdc, 2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc, 2hdc, sc – all in chain 6 space, 4 sc into next ch 6 space) repeat all round in this sequence – 6 times in total. Finish off with sl st into very first sc from the beginning of our round.
Round 4 in progress:
Stiffening
Furthermore, mix stiffening liquid 50/50 with water and dip our snowflake into this liquid.
If you’re using cardboard wrap it with cling film, this way cardboard won’t stick to the snowflake (talking from experience here 😂).
Finally, pin it to cardboard with sewing pins and leave it to dry 😊
