I named this amigurumi doll after my little daughter 🙂 This amigurumi doll is so easy to make for the beginner but final result will surprise you.
When creating this amigurumi doll you can play with colours and create different variations. Isn’t it amazing?
Height of the finished amigurumi doll is approximately 28cm, but it will depend on the yarn and hook size.

Rnd 10-19: sc around [54]
Insert eyes in rows between 16 and 17, 9 stitches apart. Embroider eyelashes before attaching bolts to eyes.
For better security (for example, if the doll is made for little kids it saves eyes from falling out and kids choking on them) you can use lighter to melt down eye ending on inside. Please see attached picture below.
Using body colour yarn, place the nose two rows beneath your eyes and 3 stitches in on each side. Pass your yarn through 4 times.
Using red yarn embroider smile. After finishing embroidering face you can start stuffing your head as you go.
Rnd 20: (sc in next 7 stitches, dec) repeat 6 times [48]
Rnd 21: (sc in next 6 stitches, dec) repeat 6 times [42]
Rnd 22: (sc in next 5 stitches, dec) repeat 6 times [36]

Rnd 25: (sc in next 2 stitches, dec) repeat 6 times [18]
Rnd 26: (sc in next 2 stitches, dec) repeat 6 times [12]
Make sure the head is fully stuffed before closing it.
Rnd 27: (dec) repeat 6 times [6]
Fasten off and sew off remaining part. Weave at the end.
Hair
Make colour of your choice. As you see – I used brown colour.
Insert as much hair as you want. In this case I did two rows – row 4 and 5 from the top of the head.
Cut multiple strands of yarn about 20 inches long. I wrapped yarn around my tablet.
Take your first strand of hair and slip stitch through a stitch from round 4. Continue for 2 rounds.
Hat
I made it of 2 colours, dark and light pink.
Rnd 1: 6sc in magic ring [6]
Rnd 2: (inc) repeat 6 times[12]
Rnd 3: (sc in next st, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
Rnd 4: (sc in next 2 st, inc) repeat 6 times [24]
Rnd 5: (sc in next 3 st, inc) repeat 6 times [30]
Rnd 6: (sc in next 4 st, inc) repeat 6 times [36]
Rnd 7: (sc in next 5 st, inc) repeat 6 times [42]
Rnd 8: (sc in next 6 st, inc) repeat 6 times [48]
Rnd 9: (sc in next 7 st, inc) repeat 6 times [54]
Rnd 10-15: sc around [54]
Change colour.
Rnd 16: sc in back loops only [54]
Rnd 17: dc around [54]
Fasten off.
Little flower for the hat
Step 1: make 5 sc in magic ring
Step 2: ch 1
Step 3: Sl st to 1 sc
Step 4: In the same space as the sl st work 1 hdc, then 3 dc’s and
1 hdc (this is first petal)
Step 5: Repeat the pattern for the remaining 4 stitches (sl st, 1 hdc, 3dc, 1 hdc)
Step 6: Locate the ch 1 made at the beginning. Sl st to the chain 1and fasten off to finish the flower. Sew flower to the hat.
Arms – make 2
Stuff slightly the bottom of the arm only.
Rnd 1: 6sc in magic ring [6]
Rnd 2: (inc) repeat 6 times[12]
Rnd 3: (sc in next 3 st, inc) repeat 3 times [15]
Rnd 4-5: sc around [15]
Rnd 6: (sc in next st, dec) repeat around [10]
Rnd 7-26: sc around [10]
At the end of round 26 pinch the arm flat and make 5 sc across the top. Fasten off and leave log tail to sew onto the body.
Legs and body
Use skin colour yarn. Make 2 legs. Fasten off first leg, but do not fasten off at the end of the second leg. Stuff as you go.
Rnd 1: 8sc in magic ring [8]
Rnd 2: (inc) repeat 8 times[16]
Rnd 3-30: sc around [16]
Rnd 31 joins the legs together and starts the body.
Rnd 31: chain 4 and attach to the first leg with sc. Sc in the remaining stitches around the leg. When your reach the chain, make sc across each of the 4 chains. Sc in the remaining stitches of the next leg and across each of the 4 chains, after that you will have sc on both sides of the chain 4 now [40]
Rnd 32-50: sc around [40]
Rnd 51: (sc in next 3 st, dec) repeat around [32]
Rnd 52: sc around [32]
Rnd 53: (sc in next 2 st, dec) repeat around [24]
Rnd 52-54: sc around [24]
Fasten off leaving long tail for sewing.
Now we are going to assemble the body.
Make sure, you have the facial features centred.
Add more stuffing to the body as you go to make it firm and less wobbly.
Sew the arms onto the body centred with the head at row 50.
Sew the hat to the head.
Dress
You can choose any colours you want. I did it with dark and light pink.
Starting with dark pink.
Rnd 1: chain 44 [44]
Rnd 2: skip 1, sc around [43]
Rnd 3: ch 1, sc around [43]
Rnd 4: (sc in next 3 st, dec) repeat around, 2 sc at the end [33]
Rnd 5: ch 1, sc around [33]
Rnd 6: ch 1, scin next 4 st, ch 8 (skip 6, sc in 7th), sc in next 12st, ch 8 (skip 6, sc in 7th), sc in next 5 st, finish off.
Now starting from the bottom of the dress and changing the colour to light pink.
Joint both ends of the dress with sl st.
Rnd 1: ch 2, (dc in next 3 st, dc inc) repeat around [50]
Rnd2-12: ch 2, dc around [50]
P. S. You can add more rounds if you want dress to be longer.
Now put the dress on the doll and sew the back. If you want, you can put buttons instead, so dress can be taken of in the future.
Congratulations, now you have finished your Sofia amigurumi doll 😊
