Below you are going to find pattern for 26 crochet letters – all capitals. These crochet letters have unlimited use and can be attached to any of your crochet (or any other type) project.
It doesn’t really matter what yarn or hook you use. Of course, bigger you go – bigger letters will be.
In this crochet tutorial I have used 3mm crochet hook and DK yearn, which made all crochet letters approximatelly 6.5cm height (2.6inches).
Majority of letters are made out of one part, just a few letters had to be made in two parts and joined with tapestry needle later.
I would suggest, if you are planning to attach these letters to another piece of art, leave long tail for sewing.
I’ve found designing some of these crochet letters challenging, but majority of them were quite straight forward 😊

Abbreviations (US terminology):
SC – single crochet
SL ST – slip stitch
CH – chain
ST – stitch
DC – double crochet
INC – increase
DC INC – double crochet increase
SC2TOG – 2 single crochet decrease
SC3TOG – 3 single crochet decrease
Crochet letter A
Start with chain of 30 stitches.
Row 1: SC in the second CH, SC in the next 12 ST. SC3TOG, SC in remaining 13 ST. Turn [27]
Row 2: CH 1, SC in the same ST, SC in the next 11 ST. SC3TOG, SC in the next 12 ST. Turn. [25]
Row 3: SL ST 5 stitches, CH 5, join this chain with SL ST to the other side 5 stitches from the bottom as shown in the picture below:
Next steps will be: Turn, CH 1 and SC in chain of 5 stitches. Finish off with SL ST into main body, hide the ends.

Start with chain of 13 stitches.
Row 1: SC in the second CH, SC in the next 11 ST. Turn [12]
Row 2: CH 1, SC in the same ST, SC in next 11 ST. Turn [12]
Row 3: SL ST in the first ST, CH 8, skip 3 ST, DC in next 2 ST, CH 8, skip 3 ST, SL ST chain into 11th ST, SL ST one more time to finish the row. Turn [20]
Row 4: DC in next 2 ST, (DC INC) x 4, DC in next 2 ST, SC DEC, DC in next 2 ST, DC INC, DC in next 4 ST, skip 2 ST, SL ST to the last ST of the row [21]
Finish off and hide ends.

Start with chain of 17 stitches.
Row 1: SC in the second CH, INC, (SC, INC in the next ST) x 7 times. Turn [23]
Row 2: CH 1, SC in the same ST, SC in next 22 ST [23]
Finish off with SL ST, hide ends.
