Crochet snake is perfect solution for it and it is happy and smiley toy. No way I’m going to bin yarn, better I am going to use it for something colorful like this crochet snake. 😉
So, there’s crochet snake pattern and I am going to share it with you. 😊
This project leaves you with a lot of space for improvisation and you know why? Because you can make it as long as you want. Or, you can choose as many colours as you want, and you can change them as often as you want.

Materials you will need:
- Various colour yarn
- Crochet hook 2.5mm (or your preferred size)
- Stitch markers
- Fibrefill
- Scissors
- Safety eyes
Starting from the head
Stuff as you go. Stuff the head firmly, but when stuffing the body do not stuff it so much, so snake can be more flexible.
Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
Round 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
Round 3: (sc in next st, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
Round 4: sc in all 18 st [18]
Round 5: (sc in next 2 st, inc) repeat 6 times [24]
Round 6: sc in all 24 st [24]
Round 7: (sc in next 3 st, inc) repeat 6 times [30]
Round 8: (sc in next 4 st, inc) repeat 6 times [36]
Round 9: sc in all 36 st [36]
Round 10: (sc in next 5 st, inc) repeat 6 times [42]
Round 11: sc in all 42 st [42]

Change colour.
Round 13-16: sc in all 48 st [48]

Change the colour. 18

Join all 6 st by 1 sl st and finish off. Hide the end.

Now it’s time to give our snake a smile! 🙂
Use black yarn for a nose, I added nose between 5 and 7 rounds.
Use red yarn for a smile.
